- What is Art-And Value (AAV) ?
AAV contains auction results for auctions of works by over 75,000 artists. The auctions were held in auction houses from all over the world since 1996.
The database is constantly updated with new results.
- What information is contained in every auction result?
The name of the artist;
The title of the artwork;
The date the artwork was produced and the signature if present (the letter S identifies the work as a signed art piece);
The date, auction house, location of the auction;
The technique of the artwork;
The dimensions of the artwork in centimeters;
The auctioned price of the work including auction rights and taxes;
It does not contain images of the artwork.
- Why is it useful to subscribe to the AAV system?
Because it is the best tool for knowing the real value of a work of art.
If you want to buy or sell a work of art it is important to know its value.
The art market is fascinating and can allow investors to make considerable earnings. But it is also the most complex market and it is therefore easy to lose a lot of money if the true value of a work of art is unknown.
AAV allows you to enter this market in the best manner.

- Does AAV include the results of unsold auctions?
No, AAV only shows the results of completed auctions.
- Does AAV select the works that are published?
Yes. As far as possible, AAV tries to publish results of auctioned works for which the author is certain and relevant data is verified.
- In what languages are the results published?
Almost all the languages spoken in the country of auction are shown.
Auctions in Asian countries are, however, an exception. For example, results for auctions held in Singapore or Hong Kong are shown in English.
- In what currency are selling prices shown?
Great Britain Pounds are used for auctions held in the United Kingdom.
Euro is used for auctions held in the rest of Europe.
United States Dollars are used for auctions held in the USA and the rest of the world.
- Are new results added to the database?
Absolutely. AAV is constantly updated with new results that our subscribers can consult.
- How much does it cost to subscribe to AAV?
There are three options:
1 month - 19 $
3 months - 39 $
12 months - 69 $
- What results can I consult if I subscribe?
There are no limitations on the results which can be consulted in AAV with either of the three subscription plans
- How can I consult the auction results? I've only recently learned how to use a computer and I am not sure if I'll be able to see the auction results

- I forgot my password, what can I do?
Go into the ACCOUNT directory - look in the Subscribed User section and click on Forgotten Password.
The password will be sent to your email account.
- Is my subscription renewed automatically?
No.
If you want to renew your subscription you must register anew.
- How do I subscribe to your system?
- Click on account in the www.art-and.com homepage
- In the Subscription and Login page click on the Click here to subscribe button on the left.
- You are taken to the New User page
Complete the name, surname, email, id and password fields.
Choose the type of subscription you want to subscribe to i.e. $19, $39, and $69.
Click on Register.
- Your personal details are shown in the summary page, Pay particular attention to your email address because the payment confirmation will be sent to this address.
Click on the Register button.
- Access the payment page, fill in the form and the registration is complete.
